The thrust of exploration was to examine the garnet sand potential of the NW of the licence. 17 sites along Tug Creek were sampled. Sites 10-17 produced grades which are clearly uneconomic. Due to the variation in composition of the garnet sands from Tug Creek it was decided that the degree of magnetic separability should be determined. Tests indicated that for appreciable garnet recovery there was too much gangue and additional treatment would be required.en_US
