| Abstract: | Some 84 stream sediment samples were collected from 5 areas along the Hale River and Florence and Maud Creeks. Results from the upper reaches of the Florence Creek and the Maud Creek were low and patchy and considering the terrain are unlikely to contribute significantly to the garnet sand resource of the title. The sampling along the central and lower Florence returned reasonable values suggesting a resource of some 39 219t of garnet sand in the top metre of the streams. |
