Abstract

Initial reconnaissance heavy mineral and stream sediment sampling was conducted at 7.8km square per sample. Numerous basaltic dolomites were recorded, however 2 samples of possible kimberlitic chromites were followed-up with additional stream sediment sampling, only basaltic chromites were recovered. The NTGS digital aeromagnetic data was acquired and interpreted with four magnetic anomalies recognised. Regional coverage in those areas was sufficient and no further evaluation was considered necessary.
