Abstract

During the 1989 field season Eupene Exploration Enterprises Pty Ltd (EEE) completed the regional stream sediment and rock chip programme begun in 1988. A total of 78 stream sediment samples were taken in the northwest and northern portion of the licence, these were analysed for Au (BCL) As, Cu, Pb and Zn (-40#). Twenty-six BCL samples were incorrectly crushed to -80#, however the results were still recorded. Three rock chip samples were also taken during the survey, which were analysed for Au, As, Cu, Pb and Zn. Late in the 1988 field season a 21 line grid soil sampling programme was completed over anomalous gold localities identified by the initial stream sediment sampling programme earlier in 1988. A total of 289 soil samples and 90 rock chip samples were taken from the grid and analysed for gold.
