Report on year two EL 5016.

Abstract

Scope of work program for year two on EL 5016; (a) Drilling of four grid cross sections at 25 m intervals, one at 50 m intervals, and sampling of selected materials. Logging of location, depth and nature of material was undertaken for each drill site. (b) Drilling of selected sites within the EL not previously tested. Duration of this work - 8 weeks. (c) Survey of area south of Mandorah Road to select possible test sites. Duration of this work - 1 week. Assessment of samples; a) During the year no further assays for chemical composition were carried out. It is felt that sufficient data of this type had been accumulated for present purposes. b) The physical properties of clay are of considerable importance and in this regard we were fortunate to obtain the assistance of Commercial Minerals Ltd., a company with considerable expertise in this field. During the year 12 selected samples of diverse colour and type were tested for firing properties and colour. c) Considerable benefit has been obtained from the results from the preceeding. This enables comparison of all samples on hand with a known 'Benchmark'.
