For the reasons noted in the Introduction, work during the first year was limited to literature research and preliminary field reconnaissance. A comprehensive check of open file reports at the Department of Mines and Energy was carried out by Mr Frankenfeld and the results are summarised. One grab sample of copper-stained sandstone from the northeast corner of the area was collected by Mr Frankenfeld. The analysis of this sample showed high copper and silver values, together with strongly anomalous gold, lead, zinc and arsenic.en_US
