This report covers exploration of EL 2477 in its third year. Reduction of the EL was due on 29th December, 1984. This reduction was deferred until 29th January, 1985, and subsequently a further deferral, to 30th April 1985, has been sought to accommodate planning of the regional exploration program. The 1982 grass roots exploration program of aerial reconnaissance prospecting yielded 54 samples. These were from various quartz reefs, most of which proved to be of no further interest. One series of results however gave moderately anomalous values for gold, arsenic and lead. This area was designated the number J25. This anomaly lies in the Shoobridge Fault on the extreme eastern edge of the EL. A contract geologist, Bill Patterson, was given the task of mapping the anomaly and controlling the sampling program over this area. was done in the EL during 1983. No grass roots sampling Proposals for 1984 were for continued detailed examination of Anomaly J25. This was to involve resampling and more detailed geological mapping. This structure was however not one of the higher priorities and the work force was fully extended in other more important prospects. An examination of the costeans and surrounding geology was made, as well as an overall re-appraisal of the anomaly.en_US
