dc.description.abstractGold deposits have been sought in the area. The first step of the procedure is reconnaissance soils geochemical survey using arsenic as pathfinder. Anomaly areas were located during the 1982 field season, one of which was investigated by follow-up soil geochemical work in this report.One of the anomalies detected in the 1982 field season was investigated by follow-up geochemical work on the 50-metre-centre survey grid. All the samples indicate anomalous arsenic values. Slight amount of gold is also recognized at one site. The area should be further investigated. The grid should first be expanded. The area should be thoroughly examined by detailed geological mapping, follow-up geochemical work and percussion and diamond drilling.en_US
