EL 9424 Brumby annual report for the period 15th May 1997

Abstract

The results of this programme returned only three minor anomalous values from the bedrock LAB programme. The low values and spotty distribution of the anomalous results were considered unprospective by Paladin Resources and EL 8355 (now part of EL 9424) was relinquished. No reports could be located for any work performed by Soloman Pacific Resources on this tenement. Due to pressing financial commitments in other newly acquired tenements stemming from the purchase of Solpac in 1996, no field work was undertaken in EL9424 at this time. The prolonged wet season in the Northern Territory at the beginning of 1997 saw a two month delay to the start of the field season. Covenant commitments in other tenements in early 1997 forced the postponement of the exploration programme for EL 9424 until the second half of this year. Work completed in EL 9424 for this reporting period includes the compilation and entry of previous explorer's data into the Acacia's MAPInfo (GIS) database as well as the purchase of multi-client aeromagnetic data for the area covered by EL 9424. A reinterpretation of this data is currently underway.
