Strong indications of an alluvial gold resource have been recorded within the bounds of MCN 912-914 and 876. Further test-pit sampling is required before any estimates of reserve can be made, however initial results suggest a broad zone of approximately 1 500x 1 000 x 3metres may contain a conservative estimate of 0.4 grams/tonnewith high grade intrachannel zones of up to 1.0 grains/tonne. A stripping ration of no more than 0.5:1 is predicted from the initial exploration. Six trench cuts and eleven test pits have been cut, sampled and fire asssayed for gold. Unfortunately not all the data collected is yet available. Concurrent with the sampling programme, geomorphological mapping has been carried out in an attempt to define the extent of the alluvial gravels, and a bulk sample of approximately 1000m3 was treated through the Fountain Head alluvial plant to test recoverable grades. From the sampling work to date, it would apear that an average grade of 0.4 gramms/tonne may be identified within the Brocks creek alluvial system. Extensive test pit and pan concentrate sampling is required to closely define the paleochannels and to determine the variability of grade both laterally and vertically. Equally a close-spaced grid pattern of cable tool percussion drilling with pan concentrate sampling may help to closely define the channels and control grade estimation and reserve calculation.en_US
