First Annual Report on EL 5409 04-09-1987 to 03-09-1988.

Abstract

Only minor fieldwork has been carried out on this EL during the year. This involved field reconnaissance and limited sampling undertaken by N. Byrne prior to WMC involvement. During the latter part of the licence year, any other proposed work was suspended while joint venture negotiations were in progress. Since the inception of the GRM - WMC joint venture, WMC has begun a compilation of regional data for the Tennant Creek area, and as part of this process aeromagnetic data have been purchased, with the cost of purchase allocated pro-rata to the thirteen Licences in the joint venture. Aerial photography covering the licence area is on order and will form the base for regional work to be undertaken in Year 2 of the Exploration Licence. In conjunction with surveying done on the adjoining Licence (EL 5432) the southern boundary of EL 5409 has been located and marked by pegs at 50 m intervals (along 19degrees18').
