This report describes exploration activities on E.L. 4218 from 11th April to 19th May, 1988. During this period Respighi Pty. Limited, a fully owned subsidiary of White Industries Limited, has had an option to explore for gold over the tenement. Work done consists of air photo interpretation and limited gridding. Proposed work over the next few months will consist of geochemical soil sampling and geological mapping. Total expenditure for the year is approximately $2,013.00. In February, 1988, Richard Russell and Associates was commissioned to carry out air photography interpretation of all the Mount Ringwood tenements. The purposes of the work were to map the structural geology of the tenements and evaluate the alluvial potential. This report will be submitted separately to the Department of Mines & Energy. Because EL 4218 is mostly covered by flat alluvial and eluvial soil plain, the structural setting was difficult to interpret. However, it is possible that a small northward-plunging anticline crosses the western part of the area. Another anticline, on which a rock sample assaying 0.41 g/t was obtained by Zapopan in 1986, possibly enters the central part of the licence area. Because of the wet season, the area only became accessible at the end of April, 1988. In early May, a control line was established along the northern boundary of the licence area. The line trends east-west for 1800 metres and has stations at 50 metre intervals. As EL 4218 is regarded as a low priority target, no further work has been done.en_US
