dc.description.abstract | Recently some 19 air track drill holes were drilled into the Orlando surface ironstone outcrop. The collar position, dip and azimuth have been accurately surveyed although no down hole surveys of the air track drill holes were made. There may therefore have been some minor variation to the relative lode position had this been done. The changes should however, be negligible. Cutting and dust was collected at one metre intervals from the drill holes by simply deflecting the material from the hole into surface collection dishes. This material was split and sent for assay at Australian Assay Laboratories (ARL) laboratory in Pine Creek N.T. Check samples were sent to Comlabs in Adelaide to check the accuracy of th AAL results. Drill hole ATH3 was checked in great detail by repeated assaying. Regardless of the variations in the individual assays revealed by this exercise it would appear that the ML assays are generally reliable given the type of gold enrichment being tested and that any variations would have a negligible effect on any assessment of the viability of the project. To this end the original assays produced by AMA have been used in all cases to calculate the grade of the resource. A sumary list of ATH drill holes along with all values over 1 gm/tonne are listed. | en_US |
