Partial Relinquishment Report EL 8380 Ten Mile Creek 29 March 1994 to 28 March 1999

Abstract

During year 1, aeromagnetic data was acquired from the NTGS. 12 stream samples were obtained from the relinquished portion, with one sample reporting a microdiamond. During year 2 a further 3 samples were collected of which one reported a chromite grain. A 50 tonne bulk sample was collected near the microdiamond positive sample and obtained an irregular microdiamond. Additional stream sampling programs completed in year 4 and 5 were negative. Minor ground magnetic and EM surveys were completed. Part of a detailed aeromagnetic survey was completed on the relinquished area. Base metal exploration on the licence was conducted by BHP and was previously reported, refer cr96-926.
