Abstract

The report deals with the area retained as MCN applications. The work described has been completed during the SEL tenure. Initially 175 soil samples were collected by Dominion Mining in 1993-94 which showed a linear anomaly extending for 1600 x 200m which was RC drilled with 8 holes along one, best results include 3m @ 1.62g/t Au. Surficial transported material was drilled by a total of 19 holes with poor results obtained. Northern Gold during 1996-97 completed a MMI soil sampling porgram over the same area as previously completed and a simular anomalous zone is indicated but the higher anomalous zones are clearly depicted. Some of the anomalous zones were RC drilled however results were disappointing with narrow 1m intercepts obtained in some holes. the better result was 4m @ 2.19g/t Au.
