Abstract

Initially 91 stream sediments were collected, most samples contained chrome spinels derived from the Antrim Plateau Volcanics, however garnets were recovered from 2 samples and 2 diamonds from 1 sample. 24 follow up samples were taken but results were poor with two samples recovering basaltic chromites. Two 100 loam bulk samples were taken, but no diamonds recovered. An aeromagnetic survey was completed over part of the area but no discrete magnetic features of interest noted.
