Stockdale Prospecting Limited, Wave Hill area exploration licences 9622, 9623 and 9624 final report

Abstract

The tenements EL 9622 and EL 9623 were evaluated initially by stream sediment sampling, which located ample chromites, derived from the Antrim Plateau Volcanics and a few garnets, the latter was followed up by infill stream sediment sampling. Loam samples were collected along station tracks within EL 9623 returning some chromites derived from basalt. EL 9624 was not sampled due to lack of drainage. All tenements were covered by an aeromagnetic survey and the data was assessed for dipole anomalies, 12 of which were sampled and seven drilled, the latter intersecting basalts, except for a singular palaeochannel. No kimberlite-derived chromites/garnets were obtained.
