Exploration licence 9440 annual report for the period 30th May 1997 to 29th May 1998

Abstract

Exploration over EL9440 during the second year of tenure involved the follow up of magnetic anomalies generated from a magnetic survey flown over the eastern half of the licence. Eleven heavy mineral samples were collected, some of which were located over magnetic anomalies. A regional aeromagnetic survey was conducted over the two thirds of the tenement and discrete magnetic anomalies covered by sampling. One of the magnetic anomalies was flown with detailed aerial magnetics and will be drilled during the third year of tenure. A statutory reduction of EL9440 was made on the 16th of April 1998, reducing this licence to 20 blocks.
