The two MCNs lie wholly within Acacia's EL 8172 ('Ennis'), and the area covered by the tenements is now incorporated into EL 8172. This report covers all past work completed by Acacia on the MCNs. 152 soil samples were collected during 1993-95 and assayed for Au and base metals. A NW (grid north) trending gold anomaly was outlined through the centre of MCN 3996. In 1994 work involved geological mapping, costeaning and drilling. 2 costeans tested portions of the soil anomaly. Two zones of low grade gold mineralisation were identified in the southern costean. The best values correspond with a quartz vein set outcropping north of the costean. 5 RC holes totalling 290m were completed across the northeastern gold anomaly indicated by the 1993 soil sampling. Drilling intersected a narrow zone of low grade gold mineralization in quartz veins. Best results from drilling include 0.70ppm and 0.61ppm Au. A detailed mapping programme was completed revealing the structural and lithological controls of mineralisation. 50 rock chip samples were collected during 1995, which included peak values to 11.5ppm.en_US
