dc.description.abstract | 12 rock chip samples were collected from areas surrounded old base metal working and from possible quartz limonitic veins. Assay results for gold were generally low with a best result of 0.07ppm. Base metal results were more encouraging with a best results being Cu 8170ppm, Pb 1130ppm, Zn 160ppm and As 160ppm. These results are centre on the Mt Ellison workings. 11 stream sediment samples were also collected Au and base metal values were low, with a maximum assay of 31ppb Au in the NW of the claims. This work has shown that the claims are unlikely to host economic gold mineralisation and even though moderate base metal anomalies were obtained from around the Mt Ellison working little potential exists for significant base metal mineralisation. | en_US |
