The F17 (Quest 154) prospect is coincident with an aeromagnetic anomaly. There is a strong gold and arsenic response from soil samples. RC percussion drilling indicated many widely separated intersections. The dispersed nature of these intersects makes this area uneconomic. Quest 150 was examined by a ground magnetic survey, an IP survey, TEM survey, RC percussion and diamond drilling. The mineralised zone appears to be west dipping lode system, associated with quartz-veined gold-arsenopyrite fault zone which is mineralised over a strike length of 150m and has been traced down dip 115m beneath the surface. MLN(A)1110 has been applied for over this area.en_US
The North Howley Anticline area is covered by Koolpin Formation, Zamu Dolerite and lower Gerowie Tuff. The area has been tested by soil and rock chip geochemistry trenching and drilling. 13400N prospect can be explained by quartz breccia in that area. A 14300N prospect is associated with a shallow dipping vein sub-parallel to slope. A zone of Pb-Zn mineralisation also occurs in this prospect. Drilling showed that coarse-grained galena infilled carbonated hydraulic breccia zones in pyritic hornfelsed and tourmalinesed shales, and the sphalerite occurred as fine-grained infillings of narrow fractures.en_US
