Abstract: | Interpretation of acquired geophysics lead to the recognition of an anomalous uranium high (Anomaly 141) (Liberator) within MCN 4012-19. A ground scintillometer survey was carried out over this anomaly. It covers an area of 55 x 25m striking 045 degrees, with a maximum count of 2000cps. There is an isolated spot anomaly (max count 450 cps) 110m NE of this main anomaly, with a further spot anomaly 300m south of the main anomaly (>>15000cps). A scout RC programme was undertaken at the liberator prospect to test these radiometric anomalies (7 holes totalling 382m). A maximum count of 3300cps was obtained from LB005. 3 costeans totalling 160m were excavated at Liberator with two further costeans (100m total) testing for extensions to mineralisation located in one of the costeans. 201 samples were collected for U and gold analysis. A maximum assay of 3m at 0.45%U was obtained from costean C-LB003. This work has shown that U mineralisation is associated with minor shear and supergene enrichment. 4 Costeans totalling 543m were excavated along the Pyromorphite Line of workings. 153 samples were collected. A maximum of 2m at 0.97%Pb was obtained from C-PY1. No Au assays were considered anomalous. |
