Abstract

Bogga' s Valley is located approximately 50 kilometres South of

Pine Creek on the Stuart Highway & 10 kilometres East on the

old Mount Todd Road. Vehicle access is via the old Mount Todd

Road & is limited to dry weather conditions. Bogga' s Valley was origionally mined for uranium ore (period 1950/53). Since that period very little mining or exploration activity has been carried out in the area. Current explorative work is being carried out in relation to gold and other related minerals. Two previously existing shafts were cleared of debris & pumped dry. Old track entering from Mount Todd Road was cleared of fallen timber & creek crossings were made possible for access. Samples were taken from isil creek beds in the area & hilt feed-ins for possible leaders. Sampling was done from the both pre-existing shafts & also extensive surface area samplings were taken from whole area.
