| Abstract: | The area was prospected over a period of four weeks with the main objective to explore for bauxite. A total of 90 samples were taken. Some samples were also assayed for heavy mineral content, phosphate, gold and base metals. Although bauxitic material was found, it was inferior in terms of quality and quantity. No other minerals of economic importance were found. The area was relinquished. |
