The Frew River Formation was considered a potential host for stratabound tungsten and base metal mineralisation and 1983 work was primarily designed to evaluate this formation, particularly calcaerous horizons. Calcaerous rocks anomalous in copper, zinc, cobalt and barium were found in a 250 metre wide zone in the Cobalt Bloom locality.en_US
