St. Joe-Aquitaine-Mount Isa Joint Venture Final Report, Mineral Claims, Bonaparte Basin, Northern Territory.

Abstract

This report is a summary of the exploration activity undertaken by the Bonaparte Basin Joint Venturers (Aquitaine Australia Minerals Pty Ltd, Mimets Exploration Pty Ltd, Mount Isa Mines Limited and St Joe Bonaparte Pty Ltd) on the mineral claim groups referred to in the Inventory of Mineral Claims as appears herein during the period September, 1974 to May, 1983. The referred to Mineral Claims were conditionally surrendered along with several Exploration Licences held by the joint venture, on 26th May, 1983. All claims and licences were surrendered as a result of our rationalization program to convert all previously 'held' land under one Exploration Licence. We have been recently advised that our application for an all engrossing Exploration Licence has been approved and Exploration Licence No. 4413 has been granted. This report will serve as a historical outline of the work completed and reported in previous annual reports. It will also serve to update the previous reports with respect to work carried out during 1983 to the date of surrender. Exploration statistics are arranged chronologically for each claim group and include references to relevant annual reports for each year. It should also be noted that this report includes references to the exploration activities carried out on four mineral claims which have not been surrendered to date. These claims are numbered 191, 192, 196, 197 OPF and are included within the Keep 'B' Claim Grouping.
