L 4934 is held to explore for limestone deposits for use in cement manufacture. Reconnaissance identified a massive white chalky limestone of unknown age that extends for at least a few kilometres along the Elsey Reach in the vicinity of Warlock Pond. The only material of economic interest is the high grade limestone sampled along the southern bank of the Elsey Reach. This is not believed to be of Cambrian age. The Cambrian limestone appears to be inferior. The north and eastern portions of the EL, away from the best limestone, are to be relinquished.en_US
