L 4768 was held for limestone exploration. The area was previously explored by Halpern Glick and Lewis in the 1970s under contract to Northern Cement. Renewed interest led Northern Cement to re-examine this area northeast of Tindall airfield. Limestone with less than 2% magnesia was sought for the manufacture of lime. Work had been carried out annually since 1986. Rock chip sampling revealed only high grade patches with little potential. In addition, the market did not justify a lime plant at this time.
