dc.description.abstractEL 1386 in the Tennant Creek locality was granted to Australian Ores and Minerals Limited towards the end of 1976. During 1977, a low level aeromagnetic-radiometric survey of the licence area was carried out. In 1978 Marathon Petroleum Australia Limited took over exploration of the licence under the terms of the Joint Venture which was finalized and submitted to the Department of Mines and Energy late in 1978. During 1978 Marathon completed a detailed interpretation of the geophysical survey data, as well as a detailed photogeological interpretation and a short field programme. Exploration of the licence is continuing.en_US
