Abstract: During exploration for uranium, traces of gold were found, which suggested the possibility of Coronation Hill type mineralization. However there are significant differences and the model was considered inappropriate. Work done on the area indicates that Au-U associations occur in small hydrothermal veins associated with shearing near the contact zone of 3 major lithological units. These veins are of limited extent and shallow with a strong supergene enrichment component. The gold values are anomalous for these structures but of low level. The known structure lie outside the EL's boundaries and due to the previous exploration intensity the probability of discovered mineralization is low. Relinquishment is recommended.
