Exploration licence 7636 Gigantic East, seventh annual report 13 March 1998 - 12 March 1999

Abstract

Four prospects were evaluated by drilling during the year. At the Ganymede prospect 2 RC holes were completed, one of which intersected 34m @ 0.79% Cu, including 6m @ 3.22% Cu. At Gossan Hill five RC holes were drilled with the better result being 1m @ 0.78g/tAu. At the Fairway prospect four holes were completed, of which only one hole, SPR4, intersected 3m @ 0.69g/tAu at the base of the ironstone. Explorer 211 has an extensive ironstone body at surface which was rock chip sampled with no anomalies obtained. A singular hole was drilled into this zone and intersected 2m @ 51.8g/tAu. The detailed aeromagnetics completed in 1993 was assessed by a consultant and a further 4 targets have been highlighted for further evaluation.
