Abstract

Two areas covering reverse faults, parallel to the Main Range Fault, were considered prospective for uranium mineralisation and were evaluated by a 50 m spaced helicopter spectrometry survey covering 8.39km. A total of 9 uranium anomalies have been recognised, Five of the anomalies were rock chip sampled. Two samples taken from anomaly VI reported 1200ppm U with associate Mo, As, Cu, Pb and Sb anomalism. Although the area is considered prospective for diamonds, no samples were collected for the determination of this commodity. 191 line km helicopter spectrometry
