dc.description.abstractDetails of the 1995-96 sample results submitted and include sediment particle analysis, chemical analysis of sediment samples, chemical analysis of suspected sediment within water samples, results of benthonic samples, optical water quality. A wind and wave find casting study undertaken. In 1996-97, surficial sediment samples, water quality samples, benthonic samples and four core holes collected. Results of these not to hand and will be reported in 1997-98. Results not to date for diamonds have been negative. A vessel was acquired that could collect small and large diameter samples from the seafloor, however due to technical difficulties only three 16 inch reconnaissance holes were completed within EL8166, with no diamonds recovereden_US
