Final report on the Finniss Range Project, NT

Abstract

This report is a summary of the work done during the term of the licences. During 1988, substantial exploration and development was undertaken by North Queensland Resources and its associate Brevcorp. This work included construction of a new plant, large new dams and bulk testing. In 1989 Corporate Developments was appointed agent to manage the tenements owned by Brevcorp. In 1990, Chris Cohen and Associates undertook substantial work on structural analysis of the area using remote sensing techniques, correlated by on-ground measurements. This work was to have been continued into 1991, but a combination of poor results obtained on an other mineral project in NSW and the collapse of metal prices has deferred this expenditure indefinitely. In order to consolidate the ELs, an SEL 7439 was granted in may 1991.
