Exploration activities consisted of a regional stream sediment sampling programme covering the entire area of the 3 ELs, and more detailed investigation of one circular aeromagnetic anomaly and two photo-features. Forty stream sediment samples were taken, 3 ground magnetic traverses completed and 9 soil geochemistry samples were taken. The stream sediment samples underwent heavy mineral concentration, and were not found to contain any diamonds or diamond indicator minerals. In addition, the heavy mineral concentrates obtained from the 40 stream sediment samples were assayed for Ni, Cu, Ag, Pb and Au. No significant results were returned. The field investigations revealed that one of the circular photo-features was a weathering pattern in the undifferentiated Cretaceous sediments and probably not the result weathering of an igneous diatreme or vent. The ground magnetic traverses completed across this feature did not display any anomalous values. The other photo-feature was tested by a soil geochemistry survey, which did not return any significant high values nor was there any variation in value across the photo-feature. A ground magnetic survey was also carried across the aeromagnetic anomaly, however it was not located. It was therefore concluded that this anomaly is the result of an unkown source deeper than 500m with no surface expression. At this stage it does not warrant any further work. The ELs were consequently surrendered.en_US
