A regional mapping and rock chip sampling programme has been conducted over this tenement as part of a larger scale programme covering the entire McKinley Joint Venture area. It became evident from the structural and lithological elements present within the tenement that there exists good potential for gold and silver-lead mineralisation. The rock chip sampling was limited within this EL, and returned a best result of 0.48g/t Au from an area of mapped gossanous veining. Further work is planned. This work was later followed by stream sediment sampling which was carried over all significant drainages in the area. Au assays returned a highest value of 4.75ppb. Ag and As returned highest values of 0ppm and 22ppm respectively. Cu , Pb and Zn returned values of 32ppm, 73ppm and 65ppm respectively. The geochemical results indicate that economic grades of mineralisation are most unlikely. Mapping has shown the area to contain anomalous lead, however exploration in adjacent areas has shown that the lead is seldom associated with gold. In addition, the lead values are very low for economic grades, and the decision has been made to relinquish the area.en_US
