dc.description.abstractExploration licence 5688 covers an area of 950 square kilometres at Mount Doreen, about 300 km northwest of Alice Springs. About 400 square km of the licence area is underlain by steeply dipping quartz-mica schist and gneisses of probably Early Proterozoic age - The rest is granite and surgical cover. Two prospects- occur within the area, one at Wolfram Hill the other at Mt Hardy. The Wolfram Hill prospect consists of numerous small quartz arid pegmatite reefs containing disseminated Wolfram. The Mount Hardy prospect consists of pegmatite and quartz reefs containing copper mineralisation. The current program is targeted at locating gold and base metal deposits within the belt of mica schists. Only reconnaissance and desktop studies were undertaken.en_US
