During the period 13th September, 1983 to 12th September, 1984, Ashton Mining Limited on behalf of the A.D.E. Joint Venture carried out an exploration program in EL 4357 aimed at the location of kimberlite pipes. Work undertaken included regional gravel sampling and airborne magnetics. While no kimberlite pipes were located, seven microdiamonds were identified from laboratory observation of the nineteen samples collected. The presence of microdiamonds within EL 4357 is regarded as encouraging.en_US
