L8656 is wholly owned by BHP Minerals and is part of the Batten Creek Project. The licence is located within the Mid-Proterozoic McArthur Basin and is thought to lie in the eastern part of the Batten Trough. This area is considered prospective for sediment-hosted base metal mineralisation, such as that at the HYC deposit. Work completed on EL8656 comprises interpretation of open file QUESTEM data, ground TEM survey, and stream sediment sampling. No drill targets were identified.en_US
