Abstract

Landsat TM data was enhanced to highlight dolerite and dolerite regolith. 8 auger holes were drilled to test TM target areas and ilmenite concentrations in drainage. Best result 2.95% ilmenite over a depth of 1.4m, averaging 1.8% over 0.8m. NTGS Airborne magnetic data was processed and 25 anomalies were identified as warranting follow up as potential kimberlitic targets. Follow up included heli-supported magnetics over 12 areas and the collection of 13 gravel-loam samples. All were negative.
