The area was examined for diamond, gold and base metal potential. Diamond exploration proved negative. Geochemical investigation outlined an area of erratic Cu-Pb mineralisation along the fault between the Balbirini Dolomite and the Vizard Formation. Petrographic studies indicate that the mineralisation is associated with a late stage hydrothermal event. Isotopic dating suggest an age of 1200-1300 Ma.en_US
