Title: | Third annual report for EL 8431, for the period 24-12-1995 to 23-12-1996, Barrow Creek district, NT, Hansa prospect |
Title Holder / Company: | Normandy Gold |
Report id: | CR1997-0096 |
Tenure: | EL8431 |
Year: | 1997 |
Author: | West, J |
Abstract: | Work limited to a review of data and a regional regolith survey results of which were outstanding at the time of the report. During year two of the Hansa Licence, Normandy tried unsuccessfully to test the regions bedrock lithologies and geochemical characteristics. The RAB bedrock sampling program was impeded by thick cover of unconsolidated transported sand and substantial water flows, which contaminated bedrock samples when it was possible to penetrate the cover sequence. During year 2 the company spent $65,980 on this licence against a covenant of $35,000. A review of the results of the Hansa exploration licence was carried out in year three. |
