Abstract

113 reconnaissance -80# stream sediment samples were collected and analysed revealing 5 areas of moderate base metal anomalism (Anomaly A-E). Follow up of these areas consisted of 68 -80# stream sediment samples. Anomalies A-D returned base metal values similar or lower to the reconnaissance samples. Anomaly E was upgraded with a one square km catchment area draining folded Wollogorang Formation being defined and returning copper values to 470ppm. Concurrent with the stream sediment programme rock chip samples were collected (25 in all). Anomalous base metal values were obtained (0.21% Co, 0.12% Zn, 33.5% Mn, 10.7% Cu). Two airborne magnetic anomalies -Electric Fence and One Line prospects, were followed up by ground magnetics. One anomaly was drill tested. Assays returned no anomalous base metal values.
