| Abstract: | This report summarises work carried out by Placer Exploration during 1990. Placer is attempting a structural and geological re-interpretation of the Tennant Creek field in order to identify other styles of mineralisation that could be structurally controlled but non ironstone hosted. Work involved the reinterpretation of Austirex aeromagnetic data. This confirmed the absence of any discrete magnetic anomalies. The most prospective areas are those cut by the Mary Lane Shear Zone, and they should be further tested. |
