Data compilation indicates that the area is covered by a number of quartz porphyry lenses striking 130 degrees to 150 degrees. These porphyry lenses have a role in the localisation of mineralisation. At least two sets of shear are thought to have operated orientated 060 degrees to 070 degrees and 085 degrees to 095 degrees and are near vertical. These shears are thought to have been active a period of time resulting in multiple episodes of fluid flow and providing a mechanism for later brittle deformation of the ironstone. The percussion-diamond drill hole DH14 was drilled to 300m, passing through several poorly mineralised intervals of veined and altered sediment. Geophysical modelling of the down hole magnetics in this hole suggest a significant source of high susceptibility below DH14.en_US
