Abstract: This report covers all work carried out during 1988, prior to the second surrender of the areas (December 1988). The Granites-Tanami Project is concerned with the evaluation of all remaining 7 tenements principally for U and stratabound Au mineralisation. Work during 1988 involved geological mapping, airbourne magnetic and radiometric surveys followed by a helibourne gravity survey and limited ground radiometric and magnetic surveying. Diamond drilling and RAB drilling was also conducted on selected areas. Areas relinquished lacked any significant features (i.e. lack of outcrop, no anomalous geochemistry and no distinctive geophysical anomalous responses).
