Final Report Tennant Creek Area 03-06-1986 to 06-07-1989.

Abstract

During the second year of tenure, geological mapping, costeaninng, sampling, and assaying were undertaken. Gold mineralisation was noted on the major structures (near Munadgee) and on shear link structures (Millers Find). Millers Find was therefore examined by costeaning to determine the nature of the mineralisation and to apply these findings to the whole area. Some 3 shoots of ore occur within the lode strike length (7.36 g/t Au). Some minor gold mineralisation was recorded within the felsic volcanic unit, and minor amounts of auriferous alluvials exist along the strike of the shear zone (13.8ppb and 24.5ppb Au). The Millers Find itself has little potential except for the development of a small prospector type operation. The licence was relinquished in July 1989.
