dc.description.abstractEL 4642 was granted 14 September 1984 to explore for base metals in the Proterozoic rocks of the Pine Creek Orogen at Mount Ringwood near the Mary River. Uranium was regarded as a secondary target. Exploration in year one consisted of desktop reviews, rock chip and stream sediment sampling and reconnaissance radiometric traverses. As a result of this work, the area was considered to have low potential for base metal and uranium mineralisation.en_US
