dc.description.abstractExploration work was done on fifteen blocks relinquished from EL 3008 in the Pine Creek Geosyncline. The work included an airborne magnetic survey, as well as stream sediment and rock chip analysis. The magnetic survey was designed to define iron rich horizons, and in particular isolated pyrrhotite sources in the South Alligator Group rocks as well as the immediately overlying Burrell Creek Formation. No significant gold or base metal mineralisation has been found in the area.en_US
