dc.description.abstractExploration work was carried out at the Glyde EL 4692 area for the purpose of detecting diamondiferous kimberlites. Weathered tuffaceous lithologies sampled on the floors of two amphitheatre-like features have been shown to host kimberlitic indicator minerals, including microdiamonds. A combination of drainage, gravel and soil sampling was carried out for the detection of kimberlitic indicator minerals. In addition, airborne magnetic and radiometric surveys resulted at the identification of several magnetic anomalies, which were further investigated by ground magnetic surveys as possible diatreme-type features.en_US
